"A minor point: the "Cesar Chavez table" is actually the "Ernesto Galarza table" honoring the longtime community organizer-scholar-author (of a dozen books on organizing, social justice and human rights), immigrant child from Mexico who grew up in a Sacramento barrio to became a scholar, diplomat, farm labor organizer one generation before Cesar Chavez, and "invented" the very idea of bilingual education--while living the last quarter of his life in San Jose."
